Pvt. Strickland Participates in Solid Punch '74

Marine Lance Corporal Harold D. Strickland, whose wife Diana Dillon Strickland
is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Dillon of Celeste, is a member of the
2nd Tank Battalion at the Marine Corps Base at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina,
which deployed to Fort Stewart, Georgia, for the exercise, "Solid Punch '74."
This is the largest Marine Corps mechanized exercise held annually on the East
Coast.

He is participating in extensive firing and assault operations, designed to
test the Corps' capability in highly mobile mechanized maneuvers.
