    For many years, the Daughters of the American Revolution have sponsored a
contest in which a Texas senior girl is chosen as the state's good citizen.  To
enter, the girl must have the following qualifications to a marked degree:
dependability, service, leadership, patriotism, and scholarship.
    This year, Nelda Davis was selected to represent our high school and
compete for the prize which is a one-hundred dollar savings bond.  (December

Does anyone know who else was selected at Celeste?  We have a very few listed
in "Memories" from annual recognition's.
