H. Biggs, Celeste, participated with other member of the 3rd Infantry (The Old Guard) in the Presidential wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery on Veterans Day, November 11, 1961. Known as "The President's Own," members of the unit are specially selected to serve as the President's personal honor guard and to perform ceremonial activities at high-level functions in the Washington, D. C., area. Biggs entered the Army in September of 1960 and completed basic training at Fort Hood, Texas, The twenty-four-year-old soldier is a 1956 graduate of Celeste High School and was employed by M. C.
