H. Stevens on Fifth Avenue. Carl Fields, Dallas, is doing the concrete and brick work and I. J. Ellard is assisting Mr. Medlin with the carpenter work. When completed the house will be Celeste’s second brick veneer and one of the most substantial and modern residences in town. (January 7, 1926, The Celeste Courier) (Believe the first brick house was on the corner of Third and Cockrell, where the Church of Christ parking lot is today. Believe it was the home of I. J. Ellard. This structure was moved to the country, north of Celeste, sometime back. Don't know the number of the country road, but approximately behind Jeanne Glasscock. The house was standing the last time I was down that road.)
