All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** Boyce Geiger Was 4-H Leader at Kingston The Kingston 4-H Club met and the meeting was called to order by the president, Melody Chambliss. Jan Chambliss gave the devotional using the Lord's Prayer. Angela Sanders led the motto and pledge. Mr. Boyce Geiger is Electric Leader for the Kingston Club and he conducted the first meeting. Several are interested in this project. Brenda Geiger, Safety Chairman, for the Kingston Club gave out leaflets on safety for each member to fill out. National 4-H Sunday was discussed, which will be April 30th. Brenda and Gary Geiger served refreshments. Visitors present were John David Horton and Gary Horton and Lloyd Voss, all of Greenville. Angela Sanders Attended 4-H Foods Show The District Four Favorite Food Show was held in Big Town in the Mall. District 4 is composed of nineteen counties. Angela Sanders won a blue ribbon in the county on her entry of Spinach and Carrot Salad. This entitled her to compete at District Food Show. She won a white ribbon at district. Angela is a member of the Kingston 4-H Club. Others from Kingston Club entering the County Food Show were: Jan Chambliss, winning a red ribbon; Gary Geiger, Brenda Geiger, and Bobby Horton, winning a white ribbon.
