Mrs. Lois Lacy Lewis wrote in her article about the small parade of kids on Independence Day in Celeste. Les Nichols, Kelly Armstrong, Anthony Arey, Dequita Abernathy Celia Weatherley, Wendy Weatherley, Kelly Felty, Kathy Law, Elizabeth Law, Amy Law, and Lisa Rowell, all carried noise makers and various other regalia and marched up the street attracting attention. Mack Pierson came out and made movies. The Abernathys came along and took shots of the marchers. Randy Weatherley took over and saw the march to the conclusion when Grand Marshall gave out. Kathy got sort of tired or pretty frustrated because of her high heels so she brought up a tearful rear guard. We had out of town viewers when Hen and Tom Lewis came by. Harold W.
