Two clouds from the east and west uprooted trees and did more damage such as winds blowing over several utility poles north of town. A seventy-five year old tree at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Staton was blown down and the Staton home damaged. Barns were unroofed at T. B. Weatherley, Jr.'s and Billy Barnard's. The front porch was blown from the Elmo Jordan's home and a picture window broken at the O. H. Lee home. A bath house at the Lem Warren home was blown over and the pipes were broken. TV antennas were broken or damaged otherwise at the homes of Tom Mulkey, Eddie Rowell, Lonnie Linton, Mrs. R. T. Baker, and Ronnie Lumpkins. The light power was off for some time because of trees falling on the wire. Frank Ponath, Community Public Service Company serviceman, restored the power in a few hours.
