Colonel The promotion of Harry Lee Elliott to Lieutenant Colonel on November 2, 1967, was announced by Col. Paul B. Schuppener, commandant of the Army Missile and Munitions Center and School at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Elliott is the new director of the Missile Components Department. Before coming here, Elliott served at the Army Calibration Agency, Pirmasens, Germany. He was brought up and educated in Kentucky, graduating from Dry Ridge High School, Dry Ridge, Kentucky in 1949 and from Eastern Kentucky University where he received his commission for the Reserve Officers Training Corps in 1953. He possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. His mother, Mrs. Roberto Goetz, lives at 2007 Garrard Street, Covington, Kentucky. He is the son of Harry Van Elliott of Dry Ridge, Kentucky. His wife, the former Dorothy Ann Elam, is the daughter of Mrs. E. O. Smith of Celeste, Texas. (November 17, 1967, The Celeste Courier)
