All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************ Premium Paid For First Two Bales Cotton Of Season Mrs. Opal McCurley, manager of the local Cooperative Gin reports the first bale of cotton this season was brought in on August 13, by Glenn Watson. The second bale was brought in by W. W. Saint Clair of the Pike community on August 24. Local business people and individual donated a $90.50 premium and merchandise for the first cotton producers. Mr. Watson received $60.00 and Mrs. Saint Clair got $30.50.
