Mrs. George McGee Elected Head of Midway HD Club
    Mrs. George McGee was re-elected president of the Midway Home Demonstration
Club when the group met recently in the home of Mrs. D. C. Thurman.
    Serving with the president will be the same slate of officers as in the
past year.  They are Mrs. W. A. Warren, vice president; Mrs. Jimmie Stapleton,
secretary; Mrs. S. W. Myers, treasurer; Mrs. B. J. Compton, reporter; Mrs. D.
C. Thurman, song leader; Mrs. E. M. Blakemore, council delegate: Mrs. W. W.
Harrell, council alternate; and Mrs. H. H. Furr, parliamentarian.
    Mrs. McGee conducted the business meeting.  Mrs. Thurman led the group
singing and Mrs. Jimmie Stapleton brought the devotional.
    Mrs. W. A. Warren presented the program and was assisted by Mrs. B. J.
Compton with a radio type interview on "How Personalities Grow."
    Mrs. George McGee demonstrated the correct setting of a table and also
detailed correct table manners.
    Refreshments were served to Mmes. S. W. Myers, Jimmie Stapleton, J. A.
Stewart, Lou Blankenship, George McGee, Byird Glasscoe, Dora Hunter, Jack
Bolton, Ralph Evans, W. A. Warren, B. J. Compton, and H. H. Furr.
    The next meeting will be in the Community Center, May 25, 1960.  Mrs.
Holcomb will be present.  The Kingston Home Demonstration Club will be special
