To mention only a few that we have seen or heard from-- Sue Sumrow and Mary Rodriguez are commuting to ETSC. They report that they enjoy their classes, but have to study pretty hard. Sue has history and shorthand and Mary is taking history and personality foundation. Carol Jean Ross is working this summer in the local bank, but will enter ETSC in the fall. Charles Tillerson, Richard Lyday, Larry Rowell, Stanley Griffis, and Choice Thacker are working in various jobs in the town and community. Charles and Choice plan a college career beginning in the fall. John Taylor has work in Dallas and enjoys his work. Wanda Thacker is working in Greenville. Barbara Newman and Sarah Warren are still vacationing at home, as is Wanda Lake. They plan work or school. College Students Donnie Duncan and Mickey Pierson, Austin College students, two and one years receptively, are home briefly at intervals from their summer jobs. Donnie is Recreational Leader for the Sherman Park System and Mickey is at work with the Katy Railroad repair crew. Both are football players with the Austin College Kangaroo team. Anthony Mulkey is working here, preparing for his second year at Murray Agriculture College at Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Anthony also plays football. Other college people this summer are Mrs. Ann Clark Bishop, who is taking elementary work at ETSC toward her masters work, and Mr. Billy Joe Blyth, also taking graduate work at ET. Ann finished a homemaking degree in January and has been elected to teach in the Mesquite ISD system next year. A College Family A record is being made by the Jesus Rodriguez family in school work. Mr. and Mrs. Rodriguez have graduated four of their children from this high school and the other four, Mickie, Tommie, Junior, and Joe will graduate in due time from next spring until 1966. The four earlier Celeste graduates are Carmel, who got her degree from ET and has taught in the San Isidro Schools for three years. Modesto is a 1959 college graduate. He also taught last year at San Isidro; and Teresa, who is a spring ET graduate, will begin teaching in the Dallas ISD system in September. Then Mary is beginning her college work.
