Norris, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Farmer of Greenville, is serving with the American forces in Viet Nam. He is with the Air Force Munitions Maintenance Squadron in Ben Hoa. His letters tell of long hours of work and little rest. A fifteen-year Air Force veteran, Sgt. Norris served in the Korean Theatre during that conflict in 1951-1952. In September of 1965, he and his family returned from a four-year tour of duty in Germany. During this time, he earned the Air Force Commendation Medal. He was assigned to Perrin AFB, Sherman, prior to his departure for Viet Nam. While there, he was selected as NCO of the month. His wife, Patricia, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Omer Lyday of Celeste. She resides at 625 Hillside Drive, Sherman, with children: Johnny, 14; Sue, 10; William, 8; Debra, 4; Charles, 3; and Jimmy, 2. Jap Dennis of San Angelo was here over the weekend to visit his sister, Mrs. J. A. Pearce. He formerly lived here and was in business here for many years.
