Mrs. R. W. Saye Observed 92nd Birthday Sunday
    Mrs. R. W. Saye observed her 92nd birthday Sunday, January 1, 1967, the
date of her birth.  The party was held in the dining hall of the Gilbert
Nursing Home, Leonard, where Mrs. Saye has been a resident for several months.
    Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Saye, who live in the family home at Lane and daughters,
Mrs. Jess Jefferson, McKinney, and Mrs. Essie Handley, Leonard, were hosts for
the party.  Nursing home residents, staff members, and guests greeted the
honoree.
    Angle cake and punch were served.
    Dick Saye, Celeste, and grandson, Teddy Joe Saye, and family of Grand
Prairie, attended.  Illness prevented other family members from attending.
    Until her illness last year, Mrs. Saye maintained  her home at Lane several
years following her husband's death.  The Saye family moved to the Lane
community in 1910 from the Westminster community.  The country home and farm
has been noted for the care and beauty of yard and garden.  Mr. Saye built the
house shortly after the family moved there.
