Jackson T. Griffis Promoted at Fort Hood
    Jackson T. Griffis, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Griffis, Celeste, was
promoted to Army Staff Sergeant at Fort Hood, Texas, where he is assigned to
the 2nd Armored Division.
    Sgt. Griffis entered the Army in June of 1956 and is assigned as a supply
sergeant in Company A, 2nd Battalion of the division's 50th Infantry at the
