We are proud of the three young men who this week are serving their country in Viet Nam. Jerry Weatherley, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Weatherley, Sr., arrived there on March 24, 1967. Jimmy Hackney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Hackney, left Wednesday from California for Viet Nam. Jerry Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sammy Joe Taylor, left Wednesday for Fort Lewis, Washington en route to Viet Nam. Captain Bobby Craigo, son of Mrs. Pauline Craigo, left California for Guam last week. Congratulations are in order for Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Weatherley for a new daughter-in-law. Randy Weatherley, who is stationed at Fort Beloved, Virginia, got married last week. Everyone wishes for Mrs. Joe McKee many more happy birthdays. She celebrated her 82nd birthday last Sunday. Sarah Roach Swindell started this week in Houston School, Greenville, doing her practice teaching. She and her sister, Pat, will be working on their master's degrees this summer. I know everyone will be glad to see Mrs. Lois Lewis return home. (April 7, 1967, The Celeste Courier)
