Ladonia Postmaster Goes to Navy
    James C. Edwards, clerk in the Ladonia Post Office, has been appointed
acting postmaster.
    Edwards will serve as acting postmaster during the absence of Robert
Joyner who is on active duty with the 49th Division.
    Edd Bartley, office substitute, will serve as full-time clerk in the
office during Joyner's tour of duty with the US Army (sic).  (October 27,

(The headline reads "Navy" but the story seems to indicate "Army" and I think
it was the Army. SSS)
