All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** Vinnie Nell Alexander Rockwall--Mrs. Vinnie Nell Alexander, 64, a former resident of Greenville and for seven years a resident of Rockwall, died at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 7, 1970, in a Wylie hospital. Services for Mrs. Alexander will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, October 9, 1970, at the Peniel Baptist Church in Greenville with the Rev. Marvin Rampey and the Rev. Royce Litchfield officiating. Burial will be in the Hogeye Cemetery in Celeste with the Martin-Williams Funeral Home of Rockwall handling arrangements. She was born on September 23, 1906, in Celeste, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greenville and Rockwall's Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post No. 8781. Survivors include one son, Raymond Phillips of Rockwall; nine daughters, Mrs. Ann Malcolm of Greenville, Mrs. Zoe Patterson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mrs. Patricia Seeley of Greenville, Mrs. Benny Webb of Rockwall, Mrs. Leota Smalley, Mrs. Lorraine Clinton, and Mrs. Lois Clinton, all of Garland, Mrs. Ruby Parnell of Alvarado, and Mrs. Versie Cline of Dallas; three sisters, Mrs. Maxie Morris of Greenville and Mrs. Olen Phillips and Mrs. Walter Webb, both of Denison; thirty-two grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
