(Hub) Brewer, 65, of RR 1, Lone Oak, died at his home at 9:00 AM, Tuesday. He had been in failing health for a number of years. Funeral services will be in the Washington Street Baptist Church at 2:30 PM, October 26, 1966. The Rev. Charles Hart and the Rev. George Sagen will officiate. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park under the direction of Coker-Mathews-Peters Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be John B. Barkley, Bill Green, R. L. Wilcox, C. M. Houser, Robert Badgett, and Raymond McKinney, Jr. Friends may call at Coker-Mathews-Peters until shortly before the service. Mr. Brewer, a former deputy sheriff and retired farmer, had been a resident of Hunt County practically all of his life. He lived in Farmersville for seventeen years. He was born April 16, 1901, in the Hickory Creek community, the son of William J. Brewer and Berry Taylor Brewer. He was a member of the Lone Oak Baptist Church. He was married on August 31, 1929 in Durant, Oklahoma, to Royetta Marier, who survives. In addition to the widow, he is survived by two sons, Dolan Ray Brewer, Garland, Private Wayne Brewer, Camp Pendleton, California; five brothers, Fred Brewer, Earnest Brewer, Ray Brewer, Roy Brewer, all of Farmersville, and W. J. Brewer, Lamesa; two sisters, Mrs. A. A. Davy and Miss Mittie Brewer, both of Farmersville; one grandchild, Jimmy Dale Brewer, Garland; and a number of nieces and nephews.
