C. Casey The Celeste Courier, 2 June 1961, Hunt County, Texas CELESTE, FARMERSVILLE, & LEONARD Mrs. J. C. Casey Died at Farmersville Funeral services for Mrs. J. C. Casey, a former Leonard and Celeste resident, were held at 2:30 PM Tuesday in Trinity Baptist Church in Farmersville. She died at her Farmersville home at 7:00 PM Sunday, May 28, 1961. Rev. W. P. Carter, Rev. Eugene Young, and Rev. W. L. Lofland officiated. Burial was in Memoryland Park. Mrs. Casey was born August 20, 1885, in Leonard, the daughter of John O. Hallum and Rose Mauldin Hallum. She was married to J. C. Casey in 1905 in Fannin County. He preceded her in death in 1942. Mrs. Casey lived in Leonard, Celeste, and Farmersville area throughout her life. Survivors are two sons, Carl Frost Casey of Dallas and James Allen Casey of Germany; two daughters, Mrs. Martin Rameriz of Farmersville, Mrs. J. R. Sherrell of Dallas; two brothers, J. W. Hallum of Iowa Park, Texas and Jim Hallum of Dallas; five sisters, Mrs. Edna Horn of Ontario, California, Mrs. Etta Cooper of Sundown, Texas, Mrs. Lilly Gentry of Royse City, Mrs. Dimple Clendinning of Haslet, Texas, and Mrs. Margaret Malone of Dallas; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
