All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** Robert Amon Creed Celeste--Robert Amon Creed, 81, of Celeste, Texas, died Wednesday morning at his home. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Friday at Taylor Chapel in Leonard with the Rev. James Seigler officiating. Burial will be in Arledge Ridge Cemetery. He was born March 15, 1902 in Tupelo, Mississippi to Mr. and Mrs. James Thomas Creed. He was married to Earline King on June 18, 1931 in Emory. Mr. Creed was a retired farmer and mechanic and a Primitive Baptist. Surviving are his wife: sons, Jimmy Creed and J. T. Creed, both of Celeste and Robert Earl Creed of Sedalia, Missouri; daughters, Barbara Cole of Celeste, Lela Faye Seigler of Savoy, Joyce Ann Wilcox and Tommie Sue Dean, both of Greenville; brothers, Doc Creed of Wills Point and Jack Creed of Mexia; and sisters, Maggie Lovell of Floydada and Gertrude Bates of Wills Point. Also surviving are eighteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, three daughters, and two brothers. Pallbearers will be Andy Joe Warren, Freddy Warren, Dan Soles, Garland Smith, Roger Seigler, and Steven Wilcox. Honorary pallbearers include Ronnie Brown, Steven Glasscock, and Darren Seigler.
