All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** Lucille Bench Woodall Gentry Lucille Bench Woodall Gentry, 84, Greenville, Texas, was born on September 4, 1918 in Kingston, Texas. Her parents were Alda Bench and Annie Harrison Bench. She passed away July 28, 2003 in Rowlett, Texas. Mrs. Gentry was the oldest member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking, and the love of family and friends. She was a homemaker and had been employed by S. H. Kress for twenty-seven years and was retired from Howard's Discount Center. In 1938, she was married to A. J. Woodall in Wolfe City. He preceded her in death in 1960. She was then married to Ernest Gentry in 1964. He preceded her in death in 1999. Lucille Bench, a Hickory Creek girl, attended school in Celeste in 1936 and was a Celeste graduate. She was a forward member of the 1936 Blue Devilena team that went to Plainview for the State AAU Basketball Tournament. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Dorothy West and Tom West of Garland, Sandra Hale of Caddo Mills, Barbara Hough and Gary Hough of Springfield, Missouri, Brenda Gore and Jay Lynn Gore of Caddo Mills, Carlene Nancy and Corky Nance of San Antonio; sons and daughters-in-law Larry Woodall and Janice Woodall of Waxahachie, Gene Gentry and Dorothy Gentry of Okinawa, Japan, Rick Gentry and Debbie Gentry of Lackenheath, England, Danny Gentry and Shelly Gentry of Paris; sister, Tommie Bench Hill of Garland; aunt, Bertha Cardwell of Greenville; twenty-one grandchildren and thirty great- grandchildren; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends.
