John William Gibbs
    John William Gibbs, born on July 25, 1870, in Tennessee, was the son of
Thomas Milton Gibbs and Amanda Jane Bivens.  Another source has John William's
birth as Corinth, Alcorn County, Mississippi.  He was married to Quinnie A.
Mathews of Kingston, Hunt Co., Texas.  He was an oil agent and had lived in
Celeste from 1902 to his death on January 4, 1948.  He was buried on January 7,
1948, in Greenville, Hunt County, Texas.  Mrs. Glen (Mary Juanita Gibbs) Daniel
of Wylie, Texas, was the informant.   (80328)

Besides Mary Juanita Gibbs, other children of John William Gibbs and Quinnie A.
Mathews Gibbs were J. C. Gibbs, William Milton Gibbs, John Rex Gibbs,  Bernice
Gibbs, Nona Frances Gibbs, Walter Roland Gibbs, and Annie Kathleen Gibbs.
