Haward Osmo Girdner
    Houston--Haward Osmo Girdner, 89, entered into rest on Monday, February 23,
2004, in Houston.
    He was born on October 26, 1914, in Hunt County to the union of the late
Howard Girdner and Maude Girdner.
    Mr. Girdner retired from Brown and Root after many years of devoted
service.
    Mr. Girdner is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Frances Girdner on
August 7, 1994; and by his parents and a brother, Smith Girdner.
    He is survived by his brother, Bobby Girdner and wife, Martha Girdner; a
sister, Evelyn Mulkey of Celeste, nephew Anthony Mulkey and wife Sherry Mulkey;
nieces Sandra Pearce of Celeste, Jean Fugitt and husband Jeff Fugitt, and Janet
Blakley and husband Thomas Blakley; as well as a host of other relatives and
friends.
    The graveside service is today at 1:00 PM at Restland Cemetery in Dallas
under the direction of San Jacinto Funeral Home of Houston.
