H. Glasscock Services Sunday at Hickory Creek Funeral services for Mrs. Sam H. Glasscock, a long time resident of Hickory Creek, were held at 2:30 PM Sunday in the Hickory Creek Baptist Church. Burial was in Celeste Cemetery. Dr. Harrison Baker and Rev. James Carmen officiated. Pallbearers were Oscar West, Edwin West, Bill Bennett, Roy Horton, Homer Bench, and Ray Perkins. Mrs. Glasscock was born November 9, 1892, in Kentucky, the daughter of Van Carter and Lucy Craft Carter. She came to Texas in 1910 and was married to Sam H. Glasscock in 1916, who survives. She was a member of the Methodist Church and had lived in Hickory Creek for the past thirty-one years. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Mary Ruth Horton, Mesquite; one son, Edward Glasscock, Fort Worth; one sister, Mrs. Ky Hall, Booneville, Arkansas; six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. ********************************************************* USGENWEB ARCHIVES NOTICE: Copyright.
