Pioneer Woman Died at Celeste Friday, 1929
    Mrs. Griffis, mother of Jack Griffis, said to be ninety years
old, died at the Griffis home two miles east of Celeste last Friday,
August 23, 1929.
    Deceased was a pioneer citizen, member of the Baptist Church,
and was loved and esteemed by a large circle of friends.
