Handley, 86, of 3604 Washington Street, were Wednesday at 2:00 PM, October 7, 1970, at the Sorrells and Sons Memorial Chapel. Dr. Harrison Baker and the Rev. James M. Gatlin officiated. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery. Dr. Handley died on Monday, October 5, 1970, in a Wolfe City nursing home. Pallbearers were Dr. Handley's grandsons. (October 8, 1970, The Greenville Herald Banner)
