Robert L. Harris
    Robert L. Harris, 67, of RR 2, Celeste, died on March 27, 1978, at 1:10 AM
at his home.  Services were at 2:00 PM on Thursday at Owens Funeral Chapel in
Wolfe City with the Rev. R. A. Lechner officiating.
    Burial was in the Mount Carmel Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Leroy
Stapleton, Kenneth Thornton, Ray Perkins, Sonny Watkins, Bill Harris, A. L.
Brown, Billy Lowery, and Robert Sylvester.
    Born on February 4, 1911, in the Hickory Creek community, he was the son
of C. A. Harris and Mary Lee Apple Harris.  He was married to Dollie Bishop on
November 23, 1929.  He was a retired sexton for the Mount Carmel Cemetery and
a member of the Hickory Creek Baptist Church.
    Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs.. Dollie Marie Daniel of
Garland and Dorthea Jean Garcia of Celeste; five brothers, Herman Harris and
G. L. Harris of Wolfe City, Harvey L. Harris of Celeste, Marshall Harris of
Dallas, and Jimmy Harris of Georgia; four sisters, Beulah Williams and Tranny
Depoma of Dallas, Rose Hargrove of Leonard, and Arvella Smith of Bonham; four
grandchildren; and give great-grandchildren.  (April 7, 1978, The Celeste
