Hayes Services Sunday at Methodist Church Funeral services for Floyd Benjamin Hayes were held Sunday, December 4, 1960, at 3:00 PM in the First Methodist Church in Celeste. Mr. Hayes died Friday morning, December 2, 1960, after suffering a heart attack. Officiating at the service were Rev. Albert Click, the pastor, and Rev. Albert Webb of Dallas. Burial was in Celeste Cemetery with Wilson Funeral Home of Leonard directing. Casketbearers were Roy Stapleton, Joe LaFavers, Morris Babers, Ralph Evans, Waitman Floyd, and Haskell Biggs. Mr. Hayes was born at blue Ridge on July 18, 1901, son of M. L. Hayes and Mamie Edna Ingram Hayes. He married Tressie B. Milton on October 29, 1918 and she survives. He operated a service station in Celeste and drove a bus for Celeste ISD. Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Tressie Hayes of Celeste; one son, Harrell Ray Hayes of Houston; one daughter, Mrs. Opal Dean Cartwright; one granddaughter, Julia Ann Cartwright; four brothers, Paul Hayes of Beaver, Oklahoma; Raymond Hayes of Roswell, Georgia; Lois Hayes of Wickinburg, Arizona; and J. T. Hayes of Midwest City, Oklahoma; three sisters, Mrs. Viola Thomason of Dumas, Mrs. Earlie M.
