Nellie Bradford Hicks
    Wolfe City--Funeral services for Nellie Bradford Hicks, 76, Wolfe city,
will be at 10:00 AM Friday in Owens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. S. E. Shaw
officiating.  Burial will be in Celeste Cemetery.
    Mrs. Hicks died Wednesday in a Sherman hospital.
    She was born on January 12, 1910, in Hopkins County to Shelby Bradford and
Arthy Evans Bradford.  She was married to Jessie Lee Hicks, and he preceded her
in death in June of 1957.  She was a Baptist.
    Survivors include six sons, S. T. Hicks of Dyer, Tennessee, Arburay Hicks
of Brashear, Lee Hicks of Dallas, Bill Hicks of Sulphur Springs, and Ray Hicks
and bobby Joe Hicks, both of Greenville; three daughters, Jessie Nell Childress
of Greenville, Betty McElwrath of Wolfe City, and Lenora Cline of Bonham; two
stepdaughters, Juanita Haskins of White Oak and Movlene Hart of Dallas; a
brother, A. S. Bradford of Lake Charles, Louisiana; a sister, Magdaline
Swafford of Sulphur Springs (and formerly of Celeste); forty-six grandchildren;
and thirty-nine great-grandchildren.  (July 17, 1986, The Greenville Herald
