All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** Emma Agnes Milton Jones Ladonia--Mrs. Emma Agnes Milton Jones, 60, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2004, in Paris Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 24, 2004, at 3:00 PM in the Oakridge Church of Christ with Robert Wayne Milton officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakridge Cemetery under the direction of the Delta Funeral Home. Mrs. Jones was born December 29, 1943, in the Oakridge community of Fannin County. She was the daughter of Anderson Loye Milton and Laura Lavina Wishard Milton. She was married to Gerald D. Jones on June 1, 1968. Mrs. Jones was a graduate of Fannindel High School in 1962 where she earned an All-State honor for playing guard on the Fannindel basketball team. She was also a graduate of East Texas State University. She taught and coached in Bonham and then Sherman for many years before retirement. She was a member of the Oakridge Church of Christ, a ladies' Bible class teacher, and she taught the Ladies' Area Day Program, as a much requested speaker. She was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters, Melissa Karol Jones and Amanda Jones. Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband, Gerald D. Jones of Ladonia, one son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy David Jones and Stephanie Jones of Wewoka, Oklahoma; one daughter, Melanie Kim Jones of Plano; one brother, James Wishard Milton of Bells; one sister, Virginia Woodruff of Wolfe City; three grandchildren, Miranda Jones, Marcus Jones, and Ty Jones of Wewoka, Oklahoma; numerous relatives including the Milton family of Celeste, and a host of friends. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 PM at the Oakridge Church. (May 23, 2004, The Sherman-Denison Herald Democrat)
