Kerr, 63, resident of Celeste for the past twenty-five years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. D. Braley of Dallas on Friday at 11:35 PM, according to the message received here. Mrs. Kerr had been carried to Dallas last June for treatment and underwent an operation there soon afterward. Mrs. Mollie Kerr was born in Alabama in 1870 and was married in Alabama to T. D. Kerr about 1891. They came to Texas forty-three years ago and settled first in the Merit community, moving to Celeste twenty-five years ago. Her husband died in 1921. She was a conscientious Christian, an ardent church worker, and a member of the Baptist Church for forty years. Mrs. Kerr is survived by one daughter, Mrs. D. D. Braley of Dallas; four sisters and three brothers in Alabama; and one brother in Lamesa. The body was brought to Celeste by Neer and Lybrand of Greenville and services were held in Celeste on Sunday afternoon. (Saturday, October 14, 1933, The Greenville Morning Herald)
