Lamm, 94, passed away in a Dallas hospital Monday May 23, 1960, at 6:30 PM. At the time of his death, Mr. Lamm resided at 2212 Lanark Street, Dallas. Born January 1, 1866, in Kentucky, he was the son of J. H. Lamm and Lucenda Biggs Lamm. He was married to Areminta Reeves who preceded him in death. He then married Elizabeth Reeves who also preceded him in death. On July 12, 1917, he and Memory Chapman Swindell were married. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Baptist Church in Merit, a member of the Fred Ende IOOF Lodge in Greenville, and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Merit. Rev. G. B. Bush and Rev. Milton Greer conducted the funeral service on Wednesday at 2:30 PM at the Merit Baptist Church. Burial was in Merit Cemetery with the Masonic Lodge in charge of the graveside service. Survivors include his widow; three daughters, Mrs. L. E. McIntyre, Grand Prairie; Mrs. F. O. Triplet, Dallas, and Mrs. Rayburn Shipp, Greenville; six sons, Jim Lamm, Celeste; Ed Lamm, Dallas; Orvil Lamm and L. W. Lamm, Jr., both of Greenville; Frank Lamm and Chapman Swindell Lamm, both of Dallas; twenty-one grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
