All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** Willie Shanks Lemons Mrs. Willie Shanks Lemons, 63, died at 10:30 PM, Wednesday, at her home in Euless, Texas. She was the daughter of H. B. (Doc) Shanks and was born at White Rock on July 13, 1895. Funeral services were held in the Celeste Methodist Church at 2:30 PM Friday with Dr. Harrison Baker of Wolfe City, the Rev. Albert Click, and the Rev. Wyatt Bradberry officiating. Burial was in the Webb Hill Cemetery. Nephews were pallbearers. She was married to John M. Lemons in 1939 and he preceded her in death in 1954. Mrs. Lemons had been a member of the Methodist Church for many years. She had lived in Hunt County until three years ago. Survivors include one son, I. B. Reavis of Hurst, Texas; two granddaughters; three sisters, Mrs. C. A. Ross of Celeste; Mrs. Ruby Nall of Greenville; and Mrs. R. E. Newman of Fort Worth; four brothers, C. O. Shanks of Peniel, Walter Shanks of White Rock, F. A. Shanks of Woodson, and H. B. Shanks of Pecos. B. Shanks and Lucindy Tarse (?) (Ford?). She died September 3, 1958, 2019 Heather, Euless, Tarrant County, Texas, where she had made her home for the last three years. She had cancer. Ruby Nalls was the informant. Burial was made at Webb Hill Cemetery. (53283) ---
