Memorial services will be at 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 1, 2002, at Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Son of Kathryn Oler and Loyd Lynch, he was born November 27, 1938, in Rains County. On December 20, 1959, he married Joan Conner in Point. He was a graduate of East Texas State University, was a high school coach, a biologist/chemist at Core Lab in Dallas and a homebuilder in Greenville. Mr. Lynch was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of Greenville; his mother, Kathryn Gray of Greenville; daughters and sons-in-law Kathy and Tom Shirey of Greenville and Donna and Andy Narramore of Vidor; sons and daughters-in-law Clay and Jena Lynch of Fort Worth and John and Jena Lynch of Greenville and fifteen grandchildren, David Shirey, Steven Narramore, Benjamin Shirey, Hayden Narramore, Rebekah Narramore, Joshua Shirey, Ethan Shirey, Jessica Lynch, Claire Lynch, Micah Shirey, Elizabeth Shirey, Conner Lynch, Abby Lynch, Nathan Shirey and Charlie Lynch. He was preceded in death by his father; stepfather Joe Gray and two brothers, Joe Ben Lynch and Kenneth Lynch. Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, November 30, 2002, at Point Funeral Home.
