All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** James Buck Lyon Funeral services for James Buck Lyon, 70, were held Sunday afternoon at Leonard First Methodist Church. Rev. Albert Click, pastor of Celeste First Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in Leonard Cemetery with Wilson Funeral Home directing. Casketbearers were Wilbur Fugitt, W. S. Bennett, B. B. Bell, Alwyn Golden, and Omar Lyday. Mr. Lyon died at 9:30 PM Friday, August 12, 1960 in Lisbon Hospital in Dallas after a lengthy illness. He was born April 15, 1890, in Tennessee. He was an active farmer until a few months ago when his health failed. He was married to Miss Ora Murray on August 4, 1928. He was a member of the American Legion. Survivors are his wife; three sons, John H. Lyon of Celeste, James Lyon of Pilot Point, Paul Lyon of the home near Leonard; two daughters, Mrs. Nannie Lester of Dallas and Mrs. Frank Fugitt of Greenville; one brother, Poke Lyon of Dallas; one sister, Mrs. Fannie Hyde of Kerrville, ten grandchildren (including Ronald Lyon and Gary Lyon of Celeste).
