Kim Macon

Kim Macon, 76, of Leonard, died, Sunday, October 23, 1977, at Gilbert Nursing
Home. Funeral services were at 2:30 PM, Tuesday, October 25, 1977, at Taylor
Funeral Chapel with Mr. Grady Langford officiating.

Burial was in the Leonard Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ed Fuller, A. L. McMurry,
Joe Murley, Guy Robinson, Glenn Thacker, and J. R. Dillard.

Mr. Macon was born on February 22, 1901, near Leonard, the son of T. F. Macon
and Martha Hornsby Macon. He was a retired farmer and rancher, and a member of
the Church of Christ. He was married to Ethel Wharton on December 16, 1922, in
Leonard.

Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Donna Jean Smith of Fort Worth and
Mrs. Marleta Herndon of Clarksville; a son, Billy Tom Macon, of Celeste; five
sisters, Mrs. Hub Owens of Leonard, Mrs. Leemore (Leamore) Boane of Houston,
Mrs. Maureen Smith and Mrs. Laura Stagner, both of Dallas, and Mrs. Oleta Gibson
of Friona; two brothers, Weldon Macon of Leonard and Travis Macon of Lewisville;
and seven grandchildren.
