All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** Anna Ruth Baker McCall Anna Ruth McCall was born on May 8, 1919, and passed away on August 30, 2003. She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. William Harrison Baker and Eula McGuire Baker; brother, John M. Baker; sister, Martha McKinney; and brother, Harrison Baker. She is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Randolph Dean McCall; her three sons, Randy McCall, Sean McCall, Martin McCall; her daughter, Anna Allison; three daughters-in-law, Chris McCall, Samantha McCall, Donna McCall; son-in-law, John Allison; seven grandchildren, Dean McCall, Martin McCall, Jr., Kristin McCall, Talisien McCall, Elizabeth Allison, Meredith Allison, Kathleen Allison; and one great-grandchild, Malcolm McCall; and brother, Paul Baker, along with many nieces and nephews. Anna Ruth was born in Celeste and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas and Southern Methodist University, where she was an SMU Beauty and a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. After raising her family, she became a language therapist at Luke Waites Child Development Center at Scottish Rite Hospital and the Hillier School at Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Dallas. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and adoring grandmother. Anna Ruth loved her dear friends, her family, nieces, nephews, and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with all of them. Her daughters-in-law were as daughters to her and her son-in-law was a son. Anna Ruth frequently said she had a long and happy life and that was evident by her beautiful smile, infectious laugh, and warm, welcoming spirit. Her family is thankful for her life of grace and compassion. Now that she is finally at home, surely the angels in heaven rejoice. Her life will be celebrated in memorial service at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 6, 2003, in Cox Chapel at Highland Park United Methodist Church, 3300 Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, 75205. Visitation will immediately follow in the Great Hall at HPUMC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Anna Ruth to The Alzheimer's Alliance of North East Texas, 3616 S.
