All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ****************************************************** Mrs. Geneva Faye Johnson McLarry Funeral services for Mrs. Geneva Faye Johnson McLarry, 29, were held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, June 24, 1967, in the First Baptist Church. Mrs. McLarry died Thursday, June 22, 1967, shortly after 5:00 PM following a two-car collision about five miles west of Leonard on Highway 78. Her husband Marcell McLarry, and his twin brother, Marshall McLarry, both passengers in the car driven by Mrs. McLarry, were injured in the accident, as was Charles Hardin of Farmersville, driver of the other auto involved. Born March 1, 1938, near Merit, Texas, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Press Johnson. She married Marcell McLarry on November 18, 1956, at Indian Creek. She was a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church. Services were conducted by the Rev. Clyde Braswell, pastor of the Indian Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Peck Williams of Rhea Mills and the Rev. Earnest Sellers of Crawley assisting. Burial was made in Indian Creek Cemetery, west of Leonard under direction of Fielder-Baker Funeral Home of Blue Ridge. Survivors include the widower of Leonard, RR 1: the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Press Johnson of Leonard; two sisters, Miss Lois Johnson of Leonard and Mrs. Mary Frances Cline of Junction City, Kansas. Pallbearers were J. B. Thompson, John Withrow, Nile Arnwine, Arthur George, Lewis Bates, and Albert Childress. (June 30, 1967, The Celeste Courier)
