Fred E. Mitchell
    Fred E. Mitchell, 7011 Woodridge, Houston, died at 8:00 PM Friday, January
6, 1967, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Houston.  A former resident of Hunt
County, Mr. Mitchell was the son of Bob Mitchell and Nettie Kelly Mitchell of
Celeste.
    A Houston businessman, Mr. Mitchell had worked thirty-one years as general
service manager for the heavy machinery department in the firm of Jim Stewart
and Stephenson.  He had traveled throughout the world in the interests of the
firm.  He was member of the Methodist Church.
    Funeral services were held in Houston at 2:00 PM Monday, January 8, 1967,
with burial in a Houston cemetery.
    Survivors include his widow, the former Nell Shook of Greenville; two sons,
John Mitchell and Billy Fred Mitchell; four grandchildren and five sisters,
Mrs. P. M. Kelly and Mrs. Robb M. Ferguson, Greenville; Mrs. S. C. Flournoy and
Mrs. Dan Turney, Dallas; and Mrs. J. R. Buster, Shreveport, Louisiana.
