(November 11, 1977, The Celeste Courier) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I cannot get the page in Heritage Quest to open, but I have a feeling that Albert Newman's father is Will H. Newman, 38, from Tennessee, living in Precinct 2, Hunt County, Texas. In 1900, William H. Newman was head of household in Precinct 2, Hunt County, Texas. He was 28, born in July of 1871, in Tennessee as were his parents. His wife, Rebecca T. 24, was born in January of 1876, also in Tennessee. Her father was born in North Carolina; her mother, Tennessee. Their children are Willie M., daughter, 3, born in October of 1896, in Texas and Bruce H., 1, born in September of 1898 in Texas. In 1920, W. H. Newman, 49, and wife, May E., 47, were parents of Hubert B., 21; Vernon B., 17; Howard, 9; Albert H., 7; Edith, 5; and Walter, 3. May was born in Tennessee, but all the children were born in Texas. The family included Will, 58; Mary, 56; Hermon (?), 18; Albert, 16; Edith, 15; and Walter, 13; in 1930 in Precinct 2, Hunt County, Texas.
