Jimmy Parr

Jimmy (James Edwin) Parr, 65, of Diboll, died December 16, 1977. Funeral
services were held at Gipson Funeral Chapel in Diboll with the Rev. George Hearn
and the Rev. J. Carr Pell officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories
Memorial Park.

Mr. Parr was born October 29, 1912, at Celeste. He was a 1931 Celeste High
School graduate.  He had resided in Diboll for the past fourteen years, having
previously lived in Lufkin.  He was assistant manager of the Big Tin Barn in
Diboll, and a member of the Diboll First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Marion, of Diboll; two sons, Cary Parr and Bill
Parr, both of Diboll; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Lou Lane of Kingweed and Mrs.
Saundra Daniel of Hamshire; two sisters, Mrs. Christine (CHS, 1935) Lacey of
Dallas and Mrs. Hazel (CHS, 1933) Jones of Leonard; also eight grandchildren.
