All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** Woodrow Wilson Pinkerton Woodrow Wilson Pinkerton, 59, Superintendent of Schools in Coppell since 1963, died December 17, 1977, in a Mount Vernon hospital. Funeral services were held in the First Baptist Church in Coppell with the Rev. Lou Brown and the Rev. C. A. McBride officiating. Interment was in the Pike Cemetery. Mr. Pinkerton, a native of Pike, received BS and MS degrees from North Texas State University. He was an US Army veteran of WWII. He was a deacon in the First Baptist Church at Coppell. He was a member of the Texas State Teachers Association, National Education Association, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Survivors are his wife, Faye; a son, Ray Pinkerton of Lake Dallas; three daughters, Mrs. Sandra Zaring of Channing, Mrs. Andrea Calder of San Antonio, Mrs. Linda Johnson of Amarillo; two sisters, Mrs. Inez Lumpkin of Grapevine and Mrs. Ruby Boney of Sunray; and seven grandchildren.
