R. J. Ramsey
    R. J. Ramsey, 77, of Greenville, passed away June 1, 1985 at a local
hospital.
    Funeral services were held Monday at the North Baptist Church.  Burial was
in the Celeste Cemetery.
    He was born July 28, 1907, in Hunt County to Mr. and Mrs. A. Ramsey.  He
was married on February 1, 1926 to Pauline Welborn.  She preceded him in death
on March 13, 1968.  He remarried Mae Brown on October 11, 1968 in Greenville.
The retired E-Systems employee was a member of the North Baptist Church and a
Mason.
    Survivors include his wife of Greenville; a son Donald Ray Ramsey of
Rockwall; two stepsons, Larry Brown of Tyler and Jerry Brown of Greenville;
three brothers, D. A. Ramsey of Morton, Elree Ramsey of Lubbock, and Oakley
Ramsey of Thousand Oaks, California; ten grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren.
    He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jo Ann Ritch, in 1975.
    Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
    Sorrels-Peters Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
