Alma Brooks Shields

Alma Brooks Shields, 88, of Greenville died Tuesday afternoon,
December 10, 2002, at Greenville Health and Rehab Center.
Funeral services are at 10:00 AM Friday, December 13th, at
Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Royce
Litchfield officiating. Burial is in Restland Memorial Park.

Born February 10, 1914, in Pittsburg, Texas, she was the daughter of
James F. Brooks and Myra Greeney Brooks. She was
married to James C. Shields on January 1, 1939, in Carthage. 

Mrs. Shields retired from Kids Korner. She was a member of First
Baptist Church.

Surviving are a sister, Vera Jeter, of Pittsburg and niece, Charlotte
Jackson of Dallas.

She was preceded in death by her husband on November 12, 1960, and
two brothers.
