F. Stanfield Following an illness of about two years duration, M. F. (Bill) Stanfield, 40, well known local paint contractor, died Wednesday night at 7:45 o'clock at his home, 1715 Hemphill-st. Mr. Stanfield had been confined to his bed for about two months. The funeral services will be held at 5:30 o'clock this afternoon from the family home and will be conducted by the Rev. W. O. Majors, pastor of Lamar Baptist Church. Burial will be in East Mount cemetery. Pallbearers will be Allison Lewis, L. A. Reagan, Ross Bean, G. S Berry, Dr. O. Smith and G. N. Miller. Mr. Stanfield was born at Mesquite, Texas, on March 13, 1893 and came to Hunt County in 1917. He had lived in and near Greenville since moving to this county and had become widely known and highly respected in this city and section. He had been engaged in the paint contracting business for several years and was regarded as an efficient and capable contractor. He was a conscientious Christian gentleman and had been an active member of Lamar Baptist church. Surviving are his wife, two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. A. W. Belknap of Tahoka, Mrs. S. M.
