F. - Died July 29, 1916, at his home three miles northwest of Cumby, suffering from an incurable malady. Mr. Stewart was 75 years old and had resided in this part of the county seventy-two years, having come here from Gibson County, Indiana, with his parents when he was only three years old. He had been affiliated with the Baptist church for many years and was a member of the Masonic order, under auspices of which he was buried at the Stewart cemetery, Rev. W.I. McClung conducting the funeral service. Three sons and five daughters, all married, survive Mr. Stewart. Four of the daughters, namely, Mrs. L.D. Cass, Mrs. Cordie Elsberry, Mrs. Addis Benton and Mrs. Will Wood, live in Hopkins County. Mrs. Claude Maples resides at Nelson, Okla. John and Pleas Stewart are residents of this community, while Cal Stewart's home is at Mayfield, Okla.
