Jesse Claude Sumrow Services

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:00 PM in James Coker-Peters
Funeral Home in Greenville for Jesse Claude Sumrow, 68, long time resident of
Celeste. Dr. W. Harrison Baker of Wolfe City officiated. Burial was in Merit
Cemetery.

Mr. Sumrow died Monday night, November 24, 1958, in a Greenville rest home.
He had been ill for some time.

He was born in Celeste, July 26, 1890, the son of E. E. Sumrow and Vera
Houser Sumrow.

Survivors are his wife; three sons, H. C. Sumrow and Douglas Sumrow of
Dallas, and Ellis Sumrow of Celeste; two daughters, Mrs. Carl Green of
Celeste and Mrs. Ray Asbill of Danville, Arkansas; three brothers, Fred
Sumrow of Greenville, George Sumrow of Merit, Loyd Sumrow of Dallas; three
sisters, Mrs. Ruby Banks, Mrs. Ava Duncan, and Mrs. R. C. Mott of
Gainesville, and eight grandchildren (including Barbara Sue Sumrow, Kenneth
Sumrow, and Martha Sumrow, and Donna Green of Celeste). 

Pallbearers were W. L. Brumley, Eugene Moss, Charles Stone, B. R. Lanier,
Roy Stapleton, and Lem Warren.
