Tatum, 41, of 5732 South Shartel, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, died Monday morning, July 3, 1967, in Baptist Memorial Hospital, Oklahoma City, following a heart attack. Services were at Capitol Hill Funeral Home, Oklahoma City. He was born at Celeste, Texas, and had lived in Oklahoma City for thirty- three years. He attended Capitol Hill High School and served four years in the US Marines in World War II. For the past twenty years, he had been in the plumbing business, having been associated with Southside Plumbing Company and U. S. Supply Company and was a salesman for Norman Plumbing Supply Company. He was a Mason, member of Myrtle Lodge, and a member of Northwest Baptist Church, Oklahoma City. Survivors include two children, Mark Tatum and Marian Tatum of the home; his mother, Ella Mae Tatum, Dallas; his father, W. A. Tatum, 4015 South Hudson, Oklahoma City; and a sister, Mrs. Neal Dubois, 7709 South Shartel, Oklahoma City. Relatives from this area attending the funeral services were Mrs. Harold Armstrong, Celeste; Mr. and Mrs. Dan Tatum and son, Tommy, and Terry Turner of Paris. (July 14, 1967, The Celeste Courier)
