All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** Nannie Lou Moore Tatum Turner Mrs. Nannie Lou Turner, 81, passed away at her home here at 8:40 PM, Saturday, June 14, 1958, after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held at 3:00 PM Monday in the Celeste Methodist Church, with the pastor, the Rev. Albert Click, the Rev. H. B. Gideon, pastor of the First Baptist Church, and the Rev. Carroll Chadwick of Center officiating. Burial was in the Celeste Cemetery with James-Coker-Peters Funeral Home directing. Grandsons were pallbearers. Mrs. Turner was born on March 2, 1878, in Kentucky, her parents being the late John Moore and Fannie Cope Moore. She moved to this area when she was very young. She married Thomas Tatum in 1909, who preceded her in death. She later married Frank Turner and he died in 1942. Mrs. Tuner was a member of the Celeste Methodist Church where she was a faithful member until her health prevented. Survivors are three daughters, Miss Fannie Tatum and Mrs. Harold Armstrong of Celeste and Mrs. J. R. Fielder of Tyler; four sons, W. H. Tatum, Oklahoma City; Virgil Tatum, Carlsbad, New Mexico, Dan Tatum, Port Neches; Ellis Turner, Abernathy; five brothers; four sisters; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. A daughter preceded her in death. H. Tatum, and Mrs. Ella Tatum of Oklahoma City. Also, Mrs. Luther Horton and daughter of Sherman; Mr. and Mrs. William Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Harl Hudson and O. A. Hudson of Leonard; Mrs. J. C.
