All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** John Terry Warren John Terry Warren, 84, of 1707 Pollard Street, Greenville, and brother of Lem Warren of Celeste, died at 10:30 PM Tuesday, April 11, 1967, in Park Haven Nursing Home, Greenville, after a long illness. Born on September 27, 1882, in Hunt County, Mr. Warren had lived in and around Greenville all his life. He was the son of Issiah S. Warren and Sarah Elizabeth Taylor Warren. A member of the Central Christian Church in Greenville, Mr. Warren married Ella Williams in August of 1907 at Celeste, and she preceded him in death in 1935. He had been connected with burlap bag and cattle business. Services were held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 12, 1967, in First Church of the Nazarene in Greenville with ministers Taylor Williams and Charles McMimm officiating. Burial was in Mount Carmel Cemetery at Wolfe City. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Vance Henderson of Cartwright, Oklahoma; Mrs. J. L. McKnight of Big Sandy, and Mrs. Bill (Hazel) Warren of Greenville; a brother, Lem Warren of Celeste; a sister, Mrs. Mattie Steele of Celeste; twelve grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were David Warren, Terry Warren, Mike Warren, Jerry Warren, John McKnight, and Bill Warren. Honorary pallbearers were the grandson Ray McKnight of the US Navy in Hawaii and Martin Henderson of the US Navy in San Francisco, California. (April 14, 1967, The Celeste Courier)
